Your donation should be 10 gallons of Ketchup. We Need Your Help! Camp LRCA was founded on the work of volunteers and volunteers remain a vital part of the camp’s success. We need volunteers willing to come out for a single day (or more) to serve the campers in our kitchen this summer. The servers in the kitchen work hard, have great fun, and enjoy lots of laughs. Servers fill the camper’s stomachs as the Word of God fills their hearts. WHAT will we do? The kitchen volunteers perform a variety of tasks: - Help our chef prepare the noon and evening meals - Make the dessert for the day like: cookies, cakes, cobblers - Serve the campers when they arrive for their lunch, usually two different groups; the Adventure Day Camp and the Classic Camps - Clean up after the campers are finished - If it is a slow day, the volunteers may help with cleaning like: washing pantry shelves, refrigerators, sinks, laundry, sorting and cleaning lost and found, washing windows, tables and chairs the list goes on and on. WHO can help? Anyone! A small group Bible study, youth group, ladies group, men’s group, seniors group, mission committee anyone that wants to serve and have fun HOW much time will it take? Volunteers arrive no later than 8:30am, and are usually finished around 1:30pm. WHY? Besides spending a day serving God, you can also bring your swimsuit, fishing pole and bait, or a book, because when the work is done you are welcome to stay and relax. Go swimming, fishing, take a walk, read a book, or sit and visit or watch the campers in their activities - just enjoy the rest of the day with us!
